Theology I to IV

Home Parish: St. Faustina, Fulshear
Seminary: St. Mary's Seminary

I was born and raised Catholic in Monterrey, Mexico, was heavily involved in Mathematics and Computer Science competitions all the way through High School and College, and graduated with a Math degree from Rice. I first felt the call to the priesthood a couple of years after graduating, while working as a software engineer. At first, I tried to forget about it or push it away, but it kept coming back. Eventually I saw that I had to be open to Our Lord’s will without holding anything back and decided to apply to seminary. The spiritual growth, joy, and peace I’ve experienced, and the friendships that have developed since applying and during the past couple of years of seminary formation, has greatly increased my love for Christ, His Church and Priesthood, and my Diocese, and has shown me the beauty of a calling to the Priesthood and the joy of responding to such an awe inspiring gift.
