Primus Bela

Theology I to IV

Home Parish: St. Mary, League City
Seminary: St. Mary's Seminary

I am Primus Bela, a cradle Catholic born in Cameroon (West-Central Africa) into a pious Roman Catholic family. Our home  environment was like a true domestic church because we prayed morning and evening prayers together and also did regular devotions to Our Lady, I got involved in many ministries within my local Church. I served as an altar server, sang in the youth choir, and was the diocesan president for Young Christian Students (YCS) in the diocese of Buea in Cameroon from 11th grade until when I left Cameroon to Europe for graduate studies in 2008. I moved to the United States to be reunited with my parents and siblings in 2010 and  began my teaching certification classes since there was no thought of going into the seminary. I got certified as a public school teacher in Texas in 2011 and I taught in Galveston ISD  from 2011 until  the Fall of 2016 when I joined the seminary. My experience in priestly formation has been simply amazing as every step has revealed God’s love for me and His unfathomable mercy. My watchwords are from John 3:30 “ He must increase, but I must decrease.”
