Trieu Nguyen

My name is Trieu Nguyen. I was born and raised in the south part of Vietnam. The first time I felt the call to the priesthood was when I became an altar server at ten years of age. The beauty of the Mass had captivated me at first sight, for I loved the feeling of being close to God while serving at the altar. I believe that the timing of God is perfect, and that is why he brought me to the U.S. Through this opportunity, He has allowed me to not only learn and know more about Him to develop a closer relationship with Him. Indeed, he has also granted me the blessing of getting to know him on an inner level through Holy Scripture. The verse that greatly resonates and reflects my calling to enter the seminary is, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
